What the difference between Acetal Copolymer and Dupont Delrin in Sheet and Rods

Homopolymer Acetal or Delrin is the best plastic for turning on a CNC lathe lathe. It’s simple to turn, although it does require reduced speeds. I use this stuff to make Scottish small pipes chanters. I have purchased countless items from a plastic shop in Anaheim. The small parts always ship promptly and everything was well packed. Between the Delrin and POM-C rods, both materials are exceptionally durable and easily machinable, and they have similar physical properties. They do appear the same, but for practical use there are some differences that can make one better than the other. It also depends heavily on your application. As with all plastic materials, be sure to check the typical properties data sheet for the appropriate properties you may need for your application.
Our Acetal Sheet is probably our best material for machining,giving an nice finish both on manual and CNC Machines. Its got a pretty low moisture absorption making it the preferred grade for food contact and where the dimensional stability is critical. Acetal Sheet has the best combination of high mechanical strength, durability and toughness, giving it superb sliding properties, electrical insulation, and wear resistance.
